I particularly like the first photo of the yellow leaves. Here in the UK we have had a warm Autumn, but now there is a chill in the air ... foliage here has been wonderful.

Looks like it will be sufficient to double as a guest house, complete with 4-legged companions. When are you and Denine going to be accepting lodgers? Enjoy the time off, and send me a recording of your mandolin playing once you've got a tune shaped to your liking.

Thanks for the pictures, Kevin. Fall is my favorite season--a reminder, perhaps, that the days are getting shorter and it's time to re-evaluate my priorities. It seems appropo (in hindsight) that I changed career directions at this time of year.

You wouldn't think it's still autumn in Colorado by the way it's been snowing all day. Everything in town is covered with the kind of wet, heavy stuff that makes for great snowballs, but difficult skiing. Chaz hopes this means that Monarch will open by Thanksgiving.

We have quail out here, particularly in the Pueblo West area, but these guys look a little different. Out here, they have the dangly thingys on their heads, but these look more prominent and darker in color. The black faces are also different (are they male?) They all look the same out here. Cornish quail for Thanksgiving? :) Maybe for Tipper at least.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. The fall color picture is awesome, --maybe a subject matter for your first painting in your new art room/shed? Beautiful area....I envy you.

Deep words to be sure. And it's nice to know there's a fellow cat lover out there that's a male! I have 2 myself. There's not too many of us around. :)

I think I can speak for all of us by saying that we'll all miss your former boss. She had the smarts and class that created a wonderful dynamic for your team at WC and at SY as a whole. It is nice to know that she won't be too far from us. I think she'll be a wonderful asset to her new employer, and she'll find her new position very rewardable and interesting.
